Dan Anderson Wins 3rd Event of the Year and is Front Runner for Player of the Year Despite the weather the evening before with 80 mile an hour winds and flood like rains The Highlands Golf Course at Meadows Country Club remained playable for  the Sarasota winter championship. With lose impediments, casual water and cart path only conditions Dan Anderson has emerged early this year  as the 2016 Player of the year for the SW Florida Tour. Each year a new person emerges from all skill levels such as Adam Reynolds a 25 handicap in flight 5 in 2013, Oscar Rafols a 3 handicap in flight 1 in 2014 and Frank Monaco a  17 handicap in flight 4 in 2015. Anderson a 10 handicap is the first to emerge from flight 2. In Anderson's quest for his third victory of the year he had to battle new member Michael Harris. Michael took the early lead after nine shooting a net even par for a two stroke lead but Anderson answered back on the back 9 with a net event par of his own to Harris's net +3 over to squeak out a one stroke victory. Harris however did win Low Gross.  Bill Koziol Qualified for Nationals by winning the non member qualifier. Thoug shooting a net 7 over par on the front 9, Koziol found his swing on the back nine recording a net +2 on the back nine to win Order of Merit- With Andersons Win earning 200 points for the 2nd week in a row he moves into 1st place pulling ahead of 7 week leader Jerey Walker View Standings Player of the Year- Dan Anderson extends his lead to 746 points over Terry Schmidt by earning 458 player of the year points at the Sarsota Winter Championship View Standings Team SW Florida (2 Time National Champion 2012,2013)   1- Terry Schmidt 2- Dan Anderson 3- Achim Triebel 4- Angela Walker 5-Jeremy Walker View Standings
