| Eagle helps Dan Anderson win his first tournament in 2016 at the Olde Florida Invitational. In a rare but wonderful opportunity the WAGT played at one of the most exclusive golf clubs in Naples Florida, Olde Florida Golf Club. Local urban legend hints that the Olde Florida was built so Mike Ditka would never have to make a tee time. The club is strictly golf for the enjoyment of its limited membership which features a state of the art practice facilities, no homes, caddies and of course the "no tee time policy" Members simply show up and play when every they like. Dan Anderson who made his 2016 season debut made the best of it by winning with help with an eagle on the par 5 10th hole. Dan and Jim Stockman where in a tie for 1st after the front 9 at net -1, however Dan's Eagle for a net -3 (net -4 for the event) on the 10th put him in the lead by 4 strokes when Stockman double bogied the 10th for a net bogie putting him at even par. Dan never gave up the lead despite Terry Schmidt's late run with a gross eagle of his own on the par 5 16th. Dan won by 2 strokes over Terry Schmidt. Order of Merit- Terry Schmidt 2nd Place finish extends his lead and remains in first place 150 points ahead of Angela Walker, Dan Anderson debutes onto the standings with 200 points in 4th place. Player of the Year- Terry Schmidt remains in 1st place with his $89.00 in winnings but Dan Anderson is in a close 2nd just 43 points by earning 347 points on Sunday Team SW Florida (2 Time National Champion 2012,2013) Jeremy and CK Fernando move into the Top 5 to be on Team SW Florida 1- Terry Schmidt 2- Angela Walker 3- CK Fernando 4- Frank Monaco 5-Jeremy Walker Qualifier- |
